Gray is a town in Jones County at Georgia named in honour of James Madison Gray, a Significant financier of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

Gray is a Town in Georgia designated as the county seat of Jones County, which is part of the Macon Metropolitan region. It was established in the 1850s and has been named for James M. Gray, a neighborhood resident.

The town of Gray has among the largest historical places in All of Georgia as exhibited by many of antebellum homes, civil war reenactments and natural spaces. Its Main Street Gray is a destination for architecture, arts, antiques, dining and family entertainment.

The re-enactment provides guests a glimpse of what actually Happened during the war, including the rolling thunder of cannons that shook windows of old homes.
